Our Work

Every seed we plant, every youth we empower, and every ecosystem we restore is a step toward a greener, stronger, and more resilient Rwanda. At RECA, we don’t just run programs we implement transformative, community-driven projects that address pressing environmental issues and create measurable impact.

Our Programs

Community Reforestation & Habitat Restoration

Restoring degraded landscapes in rural areas through tree planting, biodiversity revival, and community stewardship.

Young Green Leaders Initiative

Building a national movement of climate-aware, action-driven young people.

Heal the Urban Wetlands

Restoring degraded wetlands in Kicukiro through ecological engineering, youth engagement, and community education.

Zero-Waste Rwanda Initiative

Promoting a culture of reuse, recycling, and responsible consumption among youth and entrepreneurs.

Climate Literacy & Green School Movement

Bringing climate education into classrooms and building a generation of environmental stewards.

Nature Conservation & Biodiversity Protection

We protect and restore Rwanda’s natural ecosystems forests, wetlands, and wildlife habitats

Our Approach

We don’t impose solutions we co-create them. Every program is designed with communities, not just for them. Using participatory tools like community mapping, eco-dialogues, and digital storytelling, we ensure that our interventions are locally relevant, culturally respectful, and environmentally effective.
