Rwanda Eco Conservation Alliance (RECA)

We don’t work for communities. We work with them shoulder to shoulder, seed by seed, story by story.

Who We Are

Rwanda Eco Conservation Alliance (RECA) is a youth-led, nonprofit and non-governmental organization founded in November 2024, born out of a collective vision to combat climate change and champion sustainable development across Rwanda. At RECA, we believe that environmental conservation and community well-being go hand in hand and that grassroots leadership is essential for meaningful and lasting change.

We foster environmental literacy, climate leadership, and vocational training to build resilience and agency among marginalized populations.

Collaborative Advocacy

RECA facilitates community engagement in environmental governance and policy advocacy ensuring that the voices of grassroots actors are heard in national and global dialogues.

RECA is more than an organization it's a movement for ecological consciousness, youth leadership, and sustainable transformation in Rwanda and beyond.
